Whether you're taking shorter or longer trips with your baby, you should always have a well-packed diaper bag with you. All the people who care and provide for the baby should be able to use the bag. In it you can carry not only diapers and wipes, but also everything else that may be useful on a trip. This can be a sun hat or a cuddly toy for the child, but also a small snack for the adults. There are many different types of diaper bags. If you don't have a bag yet and want to buy one, make sure it has lots of compartments. This makes it easier for you to keep things in order and have all the important things at hand.

The bag should contain everything your baby might need while on the go. Also remember to refill the diaper bag after each outing, for example, if all the diapers have been used up. It's best to do this in a quiet moment rather than just before you leave the house. Always carry spare diapers, diaper waste bags, a changing pad, a burp cloth, wet wipes, rags, rash cream, a change of baby clothes, pacifiers, a stuffed animal, and a sun hat and sunscreen for your child. If your baby drinks infant formula, you should also have a bottle, a thermos of warm water, and a pre-measured portion of powdered formula.

Most diaper bags also have enough room for things you might need for yourself or that are important for other caregivers. These items include nursing pads, nursing cloth or scarf, a drink, a snack, sunscreen and a blanket. Of course you can add to this list or change it as it suits best to you and your child. For example, if your child is already a little older, you can also pack a container with fruit and other suitable food. A small first aid kit can also be useful. This way, you can quickly treat minor injuries that your child may sustain while playing or running around.
